I really need help figuring out the basic stabbing in knitting?

I need help figuring out the knit stitch and purl stitch, I wrote a book, but it is terrible at explaining what to do! I've looked, but I still do not get! Does anyone have a website or a guide to tell me how to do? and it REALLY simple projects I can try so I know I did it anyway? And I do not know anyone who knits is rather difficult ...

The best site on the Internet for the start knitters is KnittingHelp.com (http://www.knittinghelp.com/). The site has free videos for every process and techniques a beginner should know. Other good reference sites LionBrand.com (Http://learntoknit.lionbrand.com/?learnToKnit=1), who has excellent written instructions and newly added videos.
