Need suggestions for crochet pattern using variegated baby yarn?

I am getting ready to make a baby blanket for a co-worker but can't find a pattern. I would like to do a round ripple but not sure if it would look nice done in a variegated color. Variegated is the color of choice per co worker. Thanks in advance.

The two above may be the same pattern. They say it looks good in variegated yarn but have no picture.

The next one, look at the green variegated. If you want to make it I can help by increasing you picture and counting the stitches. Apparently no question as to the variegated yarn but to be safe have her pick the yarn and you wont have to make the mistake in getting the wrong color.
