Knitting Help por favor ?
so my pattern says this:
remove scrap yarn from CO and transfer these 94 sts to smaller dpn or circular needle.
Row 6: Hold the needle at the top of the work in your left hand. Fold the bottom needle up towards you. The smooth stockinette side should be on the outside of the work.
P the first stitch on the top needle tog with the first st on the bottom needle. you will end up with just one st on your right needle.
rep 39 times, slip the next 14 sts from the bottom needle onto a st holder or scrap yarn, you should have 40 sts left, p the 15 sts from the top needle, p tog the rest of the sts as for the beg of this row.
WTF does that mean? please help, i really need to get this done soon its for xmas! thxx!
- It says remove scrap yarn in the beginning cuz i CO'ed using the invisible method
- are they talking about still on the straight needles or the circular needles? am i knitting in a different direction now? aah i just dont know plz help me out n thanxxx
It's like making a hem when you're sewing.
You use that cast-on method because you want to be able to put those stitches back on a needle.
Once you've done that, you're holding the cast-on stitches next to the most recent stitches, then taking one stitch from each needle and purling them together.
This might help:
