ROUND KNITTING - how to do a "YO" using 2 circulars at the same time - and the "YO" is at the end of a needle?
I have a chart pattern for a lacy hat and I will be knitting in the round, using 2 circular needles (it's the only way I knit in the round).
The chart shows a YO at the end of the lace pattern, which will end up being at the end of the stitches on each needle.
From what I understand, a YO is performed BETWEEN 2 stitches....
So what can I do? HELP PLEASE...........
Just make the YO as normal, but remember it's there when you come to knit it on the next round. I would place a marker right after the stitch, AND I would knit a couple stitches from the next needle to this one. You DON'T have to keep the same number on each needle, you know, or to keep the dividing line always in the same spot (not recommended you do that at any rate). I always move my stitches around on my needles, for MY convenience, and I don't care what the designer does with hers. I have the beginning of the round marked, and that is all that is important.
You might look at using one long needle instead for circular work (the magic Loop method)... you may find it more convenient. At any rate, it's handy to know an alternate method should you ever need it.
