Monogram Font Embroidery

Any suggestions on an embroidery machine for less than $500 that does great letters and monograms from pc?
I am not interested in a machine that does pictures/designs. I strictly want something that will do name/letters/monograms that I design on the computer in Microsoft Word (in any true type font). Is there something like that out there, that is within my budget?
i personally love the brother line of machines. walmart has one that has a 4X4 embroidery field that is listed for $350 on their website. it is the SE270D. i am not aware of a machine that will only do lettering. for doing just lettering i would suggest PE-Basic (runs about $100 on e-bay). i don't know of a program for embroidery that would allow you to use microsoft word. embird is a good program to make you own lettering. you can find the program at www.embird.com
the basic program is $129 and then you would need the font editor that runs another $145.
i know that is over your budget but that seems to be the least expensive options i can come up with. there may be a less expensive program to do the lettering with but i haven't needed one so i haven't researched it.
since you are only interested in doing lettering i did a quick search on e-bay and found this software Monogram Wizard Embroidery Lettering Software for $149 so you wouldn't need the embird software. it doesn't quite keep you in budget but not far off.
