does anyone know what kind of yarn is good for beginners ? and what store it can be found in?

i'm knitting something and i need something that isn't fuzzy or trellis yarn or fluffy that will get tangled. in knitting class our teacher said it was rug yarn and the label said red heart..... any other suggestions are welcome tho, but please tell me where i can buy them,then i can see if they're near my house kthx ppl

Walmart, or any yarn shop. There are a lot of brands that sell middle of the road yarn for beginners. Red Heart, Bernat, CoatsPatons, etc. Basically what you are probably looking for is a worsted weight or sport yarn. Don't buy chunky, sock or baby yarn.
