How to read these knitting directions?

I'm trying my first intermediate project thats going to be an afghan. I dont quite understand all of the knitting terms. Can someone please translate and help me with what this means? Thank you!

You should check your instructions as they generally show a section saying 'abbreviations' and explain them in full. Some abbreviations can be slightly different depending on what country your instructions were originally published.

I've generally found that RS means the Right Side, which would mean the display side when the article is showing however that wouldn't make sense for rows 1 and 4 as they are different sides unless you are using circular needles.

For your 4th row, look at each individual stitch:
"yfwd", is to bring the yarn to the front of your work between the needles. This will actually add a new stitch and you will see this when you have done the slip stitch and the knit stitch.
Sl1 means that you will Slip the next stitch over to the opposite needle without knitting it.
K1 is fairly obvious to Knit one stitch
You then PSSO and this means to Pass the Slip Stitch Over. To do this, pick up the stitch that you 'slipped' over onto the opposite needle and then lift it over the top of the knitted stitch, effectively casting (or binding) off one stitch.

This is a fairly common stitch and allows you to make a small eyelet into a pattern - you've created a new stitch when you brought the yarn forward and also deleted a stitch when you passed it over the top of the other stitch.
"Rep from last * to last st" means to repeat the pattern across the whole row until the last stitch which will be a knit stitch. You will often find on different patterns that there may be a couple of knit or other stitches between repetitions to give a different look to the design.
