Knitting Loom Mittens

please help... i need a knitting pattern for a baby?
i am knitting mittens for a baby. i am kinda a beginner and dont know whaat stockenette and all that means. i can do it on the knifty knitter loom or use needles. i dont want a normal pattern but one you would find in a how 2 knit book, like where they tell you how to pearl etc and walk u through it

You may want to check out the www.about.com It is a really great site to help teach you how to knit and crochet and what the different abbreviations mean. They also have alot of free patterns on their site and if not the one you are looking for you can always use search to look for free patterns for baby mittens or whatever you want to do. I do not have any how 2 knit books as I taught myself to knit and crochet when I was 5/6 years old. Good luck on your future knitting.
