Gulf coast residents, are you ready for the upcoming hurricane season?
do you have an "evacuation plan"? where will you go? will you leave early or "crawl" up the interstate at the last minute again?
have you put together an "emergency kit" (if so, what does it consist of) or stocked up on supplies early (so that you can beat the mad dash to walmart or home depot days before the storm will hit)?
or do you just plan to sit any hurricane out?

everyone should make some kind of plan...trust me...
we spent about 24 hours on highway 59 just to make it to a small town that would have normally taken a couple of hours...
the funny part is...
we were originally headed for dallas...
but umm...
I-45 was brutal...
I don't plan to leave, but that is b/c my husband will have to work. He works for the power company. I will stay at a shelter if it gets to bad. I do have all the stuff in my emergency kit. My daughter will evacuate with Grandma if it is to get too bad. I will stay here to help if any is needed. As long as she is safe is all that matters. Just pray that this year is not as bad as last.
