Obsession
I finished the back of Loll and am now working on the left front. I have noticed that I am not doing the waist shaping correctly and it’s irritating the hell out of me. In the picture the ribbing all comes together at the waist shaping. You can see how it’s supposed to go here at High Energy Knits. I knitted the waist shaping the way I interpreted the pattern. And it’s wrong. I thought about frogging and re-knitting. At least the left front panel. But fuck it. I’m so not in the mood to do that. Let’s just chalk it up to bad-reading-of-directions and leave it at that. I will try to be more careful next time.
So the Lotus Blossom Tank. . . Right after I finished my last post on that the mailman came and delivered my two balls of Bamboo Yarn. It seriously came to my front door in a flash! Kpixie rocks! The new yarn is actually a bit different from the old yarn. It most definately is the same brand and colorway. But the new yarn is much softer and the colors are brighter. I decided to start over and knit the tank using both balls of yarn, alternating each row. I got through two repeats and took a good look at it. I’m not so sure I like the way the colors together are knitting up. I really don’t want to start over AGAIN. So I am putting this aside for a bit to decide what to do. I may change my mind about it.
And finally I’m totally obsessing over this book. Knitted Babes. The copy in the picture I linked to is the library’s copy. Everytime I see it I check it out and fawn over the cute dolls. I even had dreams about them last night. I think I need to make one of these.
