Here’s a shot of the back.
I still can’t get over how quickly this went. It even dried quickly when I blocked it! I know we knitters are supposed to be in it for “the process” but sometimes it’s just so awesome to have instant gratification! So what do I think of it? For the most part, I like it. It’s slightly too tight in the upper arm and shoulder area, but not horrible. I kind of wish it was a little longer. I prolly should have made it one size larger. But all in all, I like it a lot.
Chris McEvoy has posted some more results from his Bloglines study if you are interested…He has discovered that Wendy Johnson is the knitters knitter! The Queen of the knit bloggers! Yep…that pretty much sums it up. if you look at his list you will see that WendyKnits is waay at the top… I think mine is, like, at the very bottom. Well, not quite. but close. lol. oh well
. Strangely, my other, non-knitting blog is in there, too. One thing I realized by looking at this is that there are a LOT of knitting blogs out there. lordy. we are, indeed, taking over the world! Bloglines is just our first step
okay, now I’m just sounding crazy.
Something I forgot to mention yesterday that I’m really excited about, there is a new yarn store coming to town, right down the street from where I work! Nathania from purls beyond price, whose blog I just discovered the other day via Lauren, is opening up her store, CommuKNITy. Judy, you and I are going to have to go check it out during our lunch break!
One more thing before I go: this is for all you librarians out there. Cara points out an interesting article on her site. You should read the article she refers to. You will get pissed. Since this is begining to go into the non-knitting realm, I am heretofore addressing this on my other blog, so if you feel like discussing it over there, that would be very cool.

Good God! that was a hella fast knit. I knit up the sleeves on Saturday alone! I love that! It’s blocking at the moment but I will probably wear it tommorrow to work so I will have my hubby take a picture and I will post a modeling shot and specs tommorrow or Wednesday. Or Thursday. I have to go out and buy a black tank today to wear under it (I love a good excuse to shop).
So I have almost whole ball of mohair left. I think I am going to incorporate it into something knit with my recycled silk yarn, since that seems the thing to do. So this mass of yarn here in this pic will become something, but I’m not sure what yet. I’ll let you know when I figure it out.
BBBB is coming along, but no pics. I might even finish it in the next few days! I will be glad to be done with that project. It’s a little bit dull and the pressure of getting it done before the shower is, of course, turning my attention to other things.
I so need to get back to Lucky Clover. The lucky clover KAL has it’s first finisher, Winnie from Guavaseeds has made one in pink. Check it out! It looks so cute on her!
I found an interesting article via Lori. Somebody wanted to get an idea of who was using Bloglines based on the way they organize thier feeds, so they downloaded all of the feeds of everyone who has public profiles and began crunching the numbers. What did he find out? That bloglines users like to knit! LOL! I bet that guy didn’t see that coming

I finished Opptuna over the weekend, AND knitted up some baby booties, too! I used the 1 hour baby booties pattern in stitch-n-bitch nation. It really only did take one hour to make both of them. I love me a quick knit. I love the way Opptuna turned out. So sweet and frostingy. And so small and cute. Here’s a closeup of the booties.
While I was at the lys I couldn’t resist buying some kid mohair. Judy is making Ultra Femme from SnB Nation and has been tempting me with her Colinette mohair. I’ve been eyeing it and thinking that, perhaps, that cute little tunic, To Dye For in SnB would be really cute. So while I was at the lys buying buttons I happened upon the mohair section and found some that was soooo soft. so I just went ahead and bought it. I casted on for the sweater Saturday and am already about halfway done with the back. Yep. I loves me a quick knit.
Have a good week, everyone!
