It’s put together!

My cardigan is sewn together! This was my first attempt at making a sweater that requires extensive sewing up of seams. I think I did alright, but I messed up on some of the seams a little. It looks okay, though. The sleeves are a bit short, but that’s okay, too. Now I have to crochet the trim on it.

Puzzle Pieces

I finished the last sleeve on the cardi today! yay! The loose endz have been dealt with. Now I have to put it all together. Then I put the mohair trim on and find some cute buttons to put on it. At my local yarn shop they sell some really adorable buttons. Hella expensive but, hey, it’s worth it. Sorry there are no pictures.

First sleeve finished

Okay, I FINALLY finished the first sleeve of my cardigan last night. I’ve started the second one and have knitted about 7 rows. It’s getting there! I love having my little orange scarf here at work with me. I knit a few rows while I’m waiting for the computer to boot up, or if I need a little break in the day.

I’m really trying to decide what I want to do next. I think I will finish up a square on my “learn to knit afghan“. Then I might start on the black sleeveless top pattern in the “stitch-n-bitch” book. It’s a nice, summery project and I have some left over cotton black yarn that I might be able to use.

Blue Cardi progress

Okay, as promised here is a pic on the progress I am making on my blue cardigan. Started the sleeve. Will probably get the sleeve done this weekend. Hopefully.

Blue Cardi - still plugging away

An update on my current project. Over the weekend I finished the other front panel and I am now starting on the sleeve. I am really having a hard time finding time to knit. and that bums me out. I try to get some knitting in for a few minutes when I come home from work. I am finding that it really calms me down and centers me. It’s so relaxing. About two weeks ago I bought an ipod (love it!) and I listen to my audible book of the month as I knit.

I would post a picture but I keep forgetting to take one. I’ll try and take one tonight and post it. There’s really nothing exciting to see here, but oh well. It’s probably good to log my progress.
