Another couple of things
September 5th, 2007
First of all, I’m done knitting the Summertime Tunic. Yay! It’s blocking. It’s been blocking for a couple of days now. I’m sure it’s dry by now. I’ve been spending the past few days knitting icord for it. I’m using Den-M-Knit for the icord. I had to knit 4 yards of it! I finally finished that yesterday and washed and dried it. When I get some extra time I will finish the assembly of it and then take a picture of it on. Hoping it is cute! I hate spending time on something only for it to turn out crappily.
Next: I knitted a Knitted Cuddly for my niece’s 2nd birthday! Obviously I made the rabbit. The problem is that I don’t know how to put a face on it! How do you embroider a face on a stuffed animal? I tried the french knot that they give the directions for at the end of the pattern but have failed miserably each time. sigh. My bunny needs a face! Any advice?
Well, that’s it from this corner.

Cute bunny! I’m at a loss with embroidery too, so I have no advice that would help
Can’t wait to see the tunic on. I really wanted to make it for this summer, but I guess it will have to wait til next year.

I like the color of your tunic!
Eyes…a french knot seems like it would be too small. Well, for Poppy, I took some embroidery floss [I think I used 3 strands rather than all 6] and just satin stitched an eye. It worked out pretty well. If your niece weren’t two, I would suggest a button, but there’s always that swallowing hazard.
