The Slytherin Scarf!
January 19th, 2007
I can’t believe it’s finally done! After a year and a half, I give you the House of Slytherin scarf! Dum dum da da!
Pattern: Prisoner of Azkaban Hogwart’s Scarf by Lauren Kent.
Yarn: Lion brand Wool-Ease. I used 1 ball of grey and, oh I don’t know, about 5 or six balls of dark heathered green? I can’t remember how much.
Needles: Whatever size 8s were available at the time I knit it. I think it is mostly knit with my good ‘ole Addi Turbos.
Started: Sometime in November of 2005.
Finished: January 15th 2007

This is the project that would never end. But with a little determination I got it done. Much of the motivation is due to the cold. It’s in the teens today. Last weekend it was in the single digits. And I felt bad because my poor hubby didn’t have a nice, warm scarf to wear. Now I’m going to make him some matching gloves.
Good pattern. A little on the boring side because it’s basically a very long tube knit in stockinette. But it turned out really well. I used Wool-Ease for the washability factor. I don’t want to have to handwash a long scarf like this.
Thank God I’m done! Moving on to Loll.

It looks really nice (and I admire your fortitude!) I bet it’s really warm.
