New Buckeye Beauty
I went to JoAnn’s during a lunch break this week to pick up some supplies I would need to hand sew the pieces of my block together and I ended up buying Block 1 of the Tuscan Sun quilt kit. I hand pieced it together this week after work. I’m thinking this is a good way to get me introduced to quilting. Before I sewed this together this week, I didn’t know the first thing about hand sewing, so this kit is perfect for me right now. I think I would be overwhelmed by having to cut out pieces and picking out fabrics and stuff. But I have to say, I liked hand sewing this together! I really enjoyed the process. It was really relaxing. Granted it doesn’t look perfectly lined up, but it’s my first quilt block ever. I don’t expect my first quilt to look perfect.
Maybe someday I will be ready to tackle a Dear Jane quilt. I’m one step closer to it
