Curiosity

Butterfly - take 2Well, I suppose I lied when I said I am putting this away until fall. Not an hour after I finished that post I got to thinking about it and I got curious. I went and grabbed my copy of Knitting Without Tears, and Knitting Workshop. I thought about how I could translate the no seam sweater into a cardigan. It’s not hard to come up with the answer. Simply knit back and forth and not in the round. So using EPS (Elizabeth’s percentage system) I cast on and went for it. We’ll see how this goes. Yee Haw! I kind of like how the stripes are turning out on this one. Way skinnier. Nice.

Mother's dayHow was your mother’s day? Mine was lovely. I knitted up the Broadstreet mittens for my mom, as I mentioned before. I knitted up a felted bowl to present them in, along with some other goodies. She was stoked. She even said “I can’t wait to wear them!” ooooh. no. bite your tounge. It’s FINALLY getting nice out here. I don’t even want to THINK about snow and winter. shudder. You can see other pictures of the mittens here and here.

And finally, I made some green yarn for Project Spectrum! see:
Green Yarn

It matches my lime-green map of Spokane! It’s so very summery and happy. I like it.

So things with the house are moving along. We are closing tommorrow. I can’t wait to get all of this stress behind us so we can enjoy the house.

glad to see you’re pressing forward with the sweater. sometimes it’s much easier to fix it right away, otherwise it sits unloved in a corner for years!

The big day to close on the house!! yea!
I like the small stripes on the sweater too - such great colors.

LOVE the PS dyed yarn! Very happy color :)

Congratulations on closing on your house! What an exciting time. The yarn is lovely, by the way. I really like that green color. Also glad to hear that you had a nice mother’s day. My mother and father in law are in town, so we took them to church and just generally had a nice day with them.

I don’t know if it is lime green in ‘real’ life, but I’m digging the lime green color I can see in my monitor. Fabulous job with the dying! And your cardigan is looking good so far… I love the colors on it.
