One last pink

April 2nd, 2006

Corkscrew ScarfThanks for your nice comments on Chai! I wore it on Wednesday and loved it. I have one more pink project to show you for March.
Pattern: Corkscrew Scarf by Teva Durham. Found in her book (kick ass book) “Loop-d-loop.”
Yarn: Moda Dea Curious in mauve (but it’s really a very pale pink). I got it at JoAnn’s fabrics. I used two balls.
Needles: Denise size 10.5.
Started: March 9th or thereabouts.
Finished: April 1, 2006.
Here’s another picture of it.

This was kind of fun. It’s made by doing a series of short rows. But I think everyone and their mother and done this pattern so I won’t go into detail. Again, there was constant counting involved which I’m not a huge fan of. As for the yarn, it’s kind of pretty, in it’s own way. It’s very foofy. Not exactly me, but still kind of fun. I’m thinking of giving it to my niece.

Okay, Now for the Orange Month of project spectrum. I have some plans for this:

Orange Sock Yarn

Stay tuned….

One more thing…Have you seen Melissa’s Granny Smith pattern? It’s beautiful. You should check it out. I have some purple kidsilk haze that might be this sweater someday….

Fun scarf! I really enjoyed that pattern, too, and I think the pink foofiness of it will look great on your niece. That Claudia’s Handpainted is extra yummy! (I almost wrote “yammy”… ha!)

That scarf looks like so much fun! I like it with the textured yarn. Can’t wait to see the socks you start (I assume….)

I love the texture of the scarf! Very cute! and a great last pink hoorah (not that you have to stop knitting with pink, you know! PS is no pressure!) Although I have to say I am quite excited to see the lovely orange Claudia yarn work up. Great color!

Melissa’s new pattern is a beauty - she is a great designer!
