First FO in Spokane
August 14th, 2005
Finished my tank yesterday morning. It’s amazing how much knitting one can accomplish when one just sits down for a few hours and does it!
Pattern: Chickami tank by Bonne Marie Burns.
Yarn: Cotton Ease in Black. how many balls did I use? hmmm. I think around 2.5.
Needles: Denise Interchangeables, size 6, then switched to size 6 Addi Turbos when I bought them. It was much easier to knit with the Addi Turbos.

We took these pictures up at Mt. Spokane on a beautiful hike. When I lived here as a child and teenager, I didn’t go hiking like I do now. Man. I had no idea Spokane was so beautiful! I’m stoked. I feel better knowing that I have good hiking spots to go to.
As for the Tank. I like it. It fits loosely, but that’s fine. I had a feeling it would since I’m using a larger gauge yarn than the pattern calls for. I was planning on knitting the wider strapped version but by the time I got to the ribbing it was too late. I’m kind of bummed about that because my bra strap is in clear view, but oh well.
I started the Lacy Kerchief Scarf from Summer 2005 IK yesterday after finishing the tank. I’m kind of obsessed with this pattern! I really am enjoying this knit so far. I like the way the pink and green artyarns looks with it, too. These are not colors I normally wear, but I really like it, regardless.
Things here are coninuing to come together. I have most of the boxes unpacked and a few pictures on the wall. I start my job on Tuesday, and am a little bit nervous about that. But I have a feeling it will be wonderful.
Take care and have a great Monday!
