Vintage Cami

7 5 vintage cami frontPattern: Vintage Camisole by Artisokka.
Yarn: Endless Summer Collection: Sonata by Elann in the color 2137, a light blue. 4.5 balls.
Needles: Cheap aluminum circular needles, I think they are made by Susan Bates. They even have a tinge of pink. Love the tackiness.

I guess this turned out okay. I’m not super excited about it. I would definately like it more fitted. I think that I should think about making the next size down in tanks from now on because the ones that I have made have been a bit too big. I had another bonehead moment with this one. When I was practically finished with knitting the body I realized that I placed my second marker in the wrong spot. I counted 88 stitches, instead of 100 (half of what I casted on). I was looking at the extra-small size when I placed the marker. so the front is a little bit too wide. But it didn’t turn all that bad.

The yarn has much to be desired, but you get what you pay for. I think all of the yarn for this project cost me about $16.00 including shipping. The cotton is more twiny than soft. And at one point it was over spun. You can totally tell because on one of my rows the gauge is off.

I still need to block it, but thought I’d wear it today, anyway. Maybe I will like it better after I wash and block. I Usually do, except for the Chai sweater disaster.

7 5 leonoraOkay…Next! On to Leonora, which I am making for my Stepmother. Haven’t gotten that far into it yet. I’m hoping that this will be a quick knit so I can get on with Lucky Clover.

Thanks so much for all of the well wishes, guys! I am so happy! this is going to be a great move.
