Guess who went to CommuKnity at lunch today!
Judy and I were yahoo messaging each other a bit before lunch, chatting about knitting, of course! She mentioned that she went to Commuknitty at lunch yesterday (she works Sundays) and bought a bunch of yarn and a couple of Rowan books, the Cotton Tape Collection, and Vintage Style. So we chatted about how much we love Rowan patterns, and how much we love Rowan yarns, and the Communknitty has a huge amount of Rowan yarns, etc. Eventually we talked ourselves into going there over lunch. I tell you, I was soooo close to buying enought Calmer to make Loll (the cardi version). So Close! I went there with the intention of buying the yarn to make it. My reasoning?
- If I buy it at the yarn store I can hide my purchase from my husband better.
- I am about to put almost $1,000.00 on my credit card today, anyway (my car is in the shop as I type this), so what’s another hundred dollars?
- I need to support my local yarn store
But I restrained myself. Well, not quite. I couldn’t go into the yarn store and NOT buy yarn. So I bought the two hanks of Manos that you see in the picture. It’s in the lovely colorway 114. I’ll make a nice, cozy scarf with it in autumn.
