To Dye For

To Dye ForPresenting To Dye For:
Pattern: To Dye For from Stitch-n-Bitch: the knitters handbook by Debbie Stoller. Designer (will get her name here when I get home from work tonight)
Yarn: Wool in the Woods: Feelin Fuzzy in the color Lapis Limits. A tiny bit over two skeins.
Needles: Denise size 11 (I think…crap, I already forgot).
Completed: April 24, 2005
Here’s a shot of the back.

I still can’t get over how quickly this went. It even dried quickly when I blocked it! I know we knitters are supposed to be in it for “the process” but sometimes it’s just so awesome to have instant gratification! So what do I think of it? For the most part, I like it. It’s slightly too tight in the upper arm and shoulder area, but not horrible. I kind of wish it was a little longer. I prolly should have made it one size larger. But all in all, I like it a lot.

Chris McEvoy has posted some more results from his Bloglines study if you are interested…He has discovered that Wendy Johnson is the knitters knitter! The Queen of the knit bloggers! Yep…that pretty much sums it up. if you look at his list you will see that WendyKnits is waay at the top… I think mine is, like, at the very bottom. Well, not quite. but close. lol. oh well  . Strangely, my other, non-knitting blog is in there, too. One thing I realized by looking at this is that there are a LOT of knitting blogs out there. lordy. we are, indeed, taking over the world! Bloglines is just our first step ;)

okay, now I’m just sounding crazy.

Something I forgot to mention yesterday that I’m really excited about, there is a new yarn store coming to town, right down the street from where I work! Nathania from purls beyond price, whose blog I just discovered the other day via Lauren, is opening up her store, CommuKNITy. Judy, you and I are going to have to go check it out during our lunch break!

One more thing before I go: this is for all you librarians out there. Cara points out an interesting article on her site. You should read the article she refers to. You will get pissed. Since this is begining to go into the non-knitting realm, I am heretofore addressing this on my other blog, so if you feel like discussing it over there, that would be very cool.

Very nice FO! It looks great.

Now for a technical question: Is your photo gallery the actual Gallery open source, and integrated with a WP extension, or are you using Lazy Gallery? It looks fab! I probably should peek at your source code.

The rest of the world doesn’t realize how huge the knitblog community is. But it’s only a matter of time…

Process, Schmocess. I’m all about the product. Always. No point in knitting if I’m not getting something in the end!

Aw lucky you being so close to Nathania–I love her! She is coming to MD Sheep and Wool next week–I was her Secret Pal 3 last time, and that is how I met her.

That study is weird… my blog is on there about 8 or 9 times. I don’t know why it would show up so many times. Sort of skews the statistics…

Love the mohair, Moni. It looks great on you! :)

The sweater looks great! I love the colors. :) I’m so jealous that you’re close to CommunKNITy - it looks like such a great store!

That sweater is HOT. I love it. You did a great job! 2 skeins? What is the yardage on those skeins. Dang, big needles are the shizznit. ;)

Hey I’m on that list too! whoo hoo! I’m with you at the bottom Moni! :) We’re still rad. No worries, eh?
