Sundby’s Done

©2004 I skipped excercising this morning to seam Sundby. It turned out to be a really, really lovely sweater. As you can see, it’s blocking for a day or two. I will get a modeling shot when it’s done. I’m hoping that the angora in the sweater will bloom a little more after washing. The angora in the yarn makes it look uber-feminine. And so does the ribbing. Why? Because the sweater is, er, very body hugging. The problem, see, is that I’m really self consious. I have, er, kind of large breasts. And the ribbing really accentuates them. So, this is a good thing for my husband, and a not so wonderful thing for me (being that I’m self consious).

This ribbed sweater, body hugging, situation is making me re-think one of my current WIPs, Audrey. Again, another lovely, lovely sweater. But am I going to really like all of that body hugging ribbing? I really don’t know. I think I am going to go in search for some other patterns that I can use with Calmer, just to see what else is out there. I mean, I should knit up a sweater that I’m going to wear, right?

I bought a couple of patterns yesterday. The first one I should have bought at stitchces, but didn’t It’s the pattern for socks made with the hemp yarn that I bought. I bought enough yarn for a pair for me and a pair for my hubby. The pattern is kind of cool because it has a more lacy variation. I guess I could use a standard Zimmerman sock pattern, but I kind of want to knit up some socks using a real pattern, just to see what it feels like. Or maybe I’m just silly. Whatever.

The second pattern is for Marnie Maclean’s Erte Cloche. I *love* this pattern. I’ve been drooling over it since she first posted it on her blog. I don’t know when I will get around to knitting it, but it’s definately on The List.

Speaking of The List, here it is. Just to keep it all together in my own head:
