This morning I “weaved” together the tops of the straps of the front and back using the “three needle bind-off”. Check it out:
The three needle bind-off was very easy. You basically just bind off the way you would normally do it, only you are using three needles. So I’m almost done and I’m stoked! All I have left is finishing and blocking. I think I am going to try steam blocking with a steam iron. I don’t know if I should do it before or after I weave the side seams and sew up the loose endz. I’ll have to check on that
.
Also, I just now got an e-mail from Jimmy Bean saying that my order of Rowan Calmer in Pool was placed in the mail today. Yay!
Jimmy Bean lives in Truckee, CA so it should be here in a flash. Perfect timing.

I just have to bitch about IE for a moment. I haven’t been using it for quite awhile now. Instead, I use Firefox (excellent browser, btw.) I’ve been using it today and I noticed that on the post below, some of the words aren’t showing up! I even tried deleting the links in the post…still they are not showing up. When Froggy visited awhile ago she mentioned that she couldn’t find where to enter comments. Now I know why, it’s because in Expolorer, the comments link is covered by the right menu. So I’ve been spending time playing with my style sheet trying to fix some of the problems.
I am soooooo fricken glad I switched to Firefox. I hightly recommend it. Go here to download it:

It’s a quick download and you will be so glad you switched

Well I did it! I just bought the yarn for Audrey. I got the color “pool” from Jimmy Beans Wool.It was discounted almost 2 dollars off a ball because the color is discontinued (I hope they have 7 balls left!). I wasn’t sure about the color but I surfed around and found some other audrey knitters that did thiers in pool Wendy is one, and another blogger I’ve never seen, Shelby (this links to her post on the Audrey-along website). I think the color is quite nice, after all.

I am obsessed with projects that I want to do, but can barely afford! I’ve been surfing around today looking for some good, basic, classic-looking cardigan patterns. I found this one that I like:
It is from Rowan 31, and it’s called Jess. It’s exactly what I am looking for, not too trendy, but also kind of casual. It’s knitted with Rowan Denim yarn, and they have it in ecru. Perfect! Except that it would cost a fortune to make. It takes 17 balls for a medium. I will definately need to save my money up for this.
Well, I need to go work on Tank Girl! Hopefull the pieces for her will be done tonight.

Well, I’ve reached the armpits of the front of T.G. Check it out:
See the row where the knit stitches look all twisted and weird? Well, that’s the reason why drinking and knitting don’t mix (damn!). I had a couple of glasses of wine while watching the olympics and knitting. I was so happy to have gotten a couple of inches done. Well, when I came back to it this morning I had messed up the stitch. The ribbing was off slightly. With this bulky yarn it stuck out like a sore thumb. So I had to frog down a few inches and re-knit. Bummer. I was hoping I would get this done over the weekend but I was being too ambitious in my thinking, I guess. I ended up, instead, signing up for high-speed internet (FINALLY) and then, today, setting up a wireless home network. It was frustrating, but my hubby and I got it working and I’m stoked! No more dialing into the internet
