Huh, I just realized that there is a knitalong going on right now for bucket hats. Drats. I’m still kinda not really clear on the whole knitalong thing so if someone surfing around happens on this post could you fill me in on this? Thanks.

There was an interesting post on the Froggy Knits website about people linking to images on one’s webpage, and essentually, stealing your bandwidth. The Froggy blog points to a Post on Emma & Co. blog in which she writes about her recent experience with this. I just wanted to add my 2 cents.
Somebody was doing this to my hubby. In fact, they totally ripped off a little quiz that he had developed and and had posted on his website about internet security. They linked to an image that he had created for his webpage/quiz. I can’t remember how My husband figured this out, he probably did a Google search for “internet security” and this other site came up and he realized that they had totally ripped him off. And it wasn’t just Joe Schmo ripping him off. It was some Bank’s website, and they looked like a reputable business. Well he had an interesting and funny way of dealing with this. He created this really funny image and renamed it the same name that the other site was linking to. I think he created some Satanic looking image or something. I can’t remember exactly what it was. Regardless, it was offensive. He made sure it was so completely different from this Bank’s website. He wanted to make sure they got the point. And he had kind of a laugh from it because he has a devious sense of humour.
These stupid people had this fake image on thier site for weeks before they realized he had changed it! I can’t imagine what thier clients must have thought of them. They soooo deserved it , though.
