Take 3

July 4th, 2004

creamsicle poncho take 3Well, I frogged it. :( . I feel terrible. I was getting attached. I really liked that pattern! But I had to come to the conclusion that I didn’t have enough yarn for this project. I was running out of it fast and I went ot the yarn store to buy more and there were only 2 skiens left. So I frogged it, again. I decided to knit up another version of the original poncho that I actually finished and didn’t like. I am using smaller needles this time and am knitting it in seed stitch. The pattern is from Amy at the knitty blog. I hope it works out this time. I’m hoping I will like the seed stich. Regardless, I refuse to frog this thing again! What comes from these needles and yarn is going to be.

That color is going to be great in the new pattern. I might knit that poncho too!

    COMMENT:
Thanks! I love the color, too. It’s so summery. At this rate, though, I’ll have it done by winter :)

you frogged it twice! I feel for you! theres no way I could do that. the shear pain of frogging more than once would make me never want to use that yarn again, despite is gorgeous colour. I knit a ‘too short too thin’ scarf a while back and i just can’t bear to frog it even tho I never wear it cause … all that knitting… gone GONE!! ok i have issues - still power on! poncho power!

Trust me, I have considered not using this yarn again! I think it’s cursed :( This isn’t even the first project. It’s first incarnation was a beaded scarf that I was going to try and base on the Frill shawl in the Spring 2004 edition of Knitty. That sooo did not work. So what ever comes of this project will be it for this yarn. Sometimes you gotta just move on.
