Well, I am trying out WordPress for Black Sheep. So far I like it! there are some kinks to work out here and there. But it’s a good program. I was getting a little frustrated with Movable Type. I discovered MT plugins and spent a couple of weeks playing with them. However, I was getting frustrated because I couldn’t get some of the cool ones to work. Like the MTAmazon plugin. I don’t have a certain Perl module installed on the server. And when I start looking at perl code or dealing with it in general things are going way over my head. I can deal with PHP and sql. I haven’t totally abandoned MT, though. I’m still using it for my other blog for now.

Okay, I FINALLY finished the first sleeve of my cardigan last night. I’ve started the second one and have knitted about 7 rows. It’s getting there! I love having my little orange scarf here at work with me. I knit a few rows while I’m waiting for the computer to boot up, or if I need a little break in the day.
I’m really trying to decide what I want to do next. I think I will finish up a square on my “learn to knit afghan“. Then I might start on the black sleeveless top pattern in the “stitch-n-bitch” book. It’s a nice, summery project and I have some left over cotton black yarn that I might be able to use.

So here is the scarf I started on yesterday while at our first knitting group meeting. I love the color. I’m into these bright colors lately. I have another scarf that I bought that is similar in color and even in texture. I only cast on 15 stiches for this and am using size 11 needles. I am going to use two balls of yarn so it will be nice and long. It is being knitted in garter. Nice and easy and mindless.

The SCU knitting group met for the first time today! Gloria brought some fancy yarn and some extra knitting needles so we could start knitting a scarf. I was glad she brought yarn and needles because I didn’t bring my cardigan project. So I picked out some gorgous yarn and some bamboo needles and started in on a scarf that will now be my SCU knitting group project! I took a picture of what I have done on it so far but I forgot my palm pilot sync cable (drats!). So I will post the picture tommorrow, that is, if I remember to bring the cable.
