CountAble

April 28th, 2004

I found a really cool handy little knitting program for the Palm. It’s called CountAble. It is very cool.

What I have been doing (up until I found this little program) is making hatchmarks every time I finish a row. I have a separate hatch mark category for, say, increases. Well, this palm program does the same thing. There are different catagories for the variations of counting that goes into a project. And all in one handy little place, with no paper to speak of. And all on your cute little Palm.

Other ways that my palm has come in handy as far as knitting goes is that I use the camera to take photos of my projects. Sure, the quality isn’t as good as it is with my “real” digital cameral. But using my digital camera can be a pain. It totally sucks battery juice something terrible. And I am too lazy to try and scrounge around the house for batteries. Plus, uploading photos to my computer is a huge pain. With the palm, uploading happens when I hotsync. It is so easy and convenient.

So there is my plug for Palm. Now go out and get one! your life will be so much better!
