The story of the “Learn to knit afghan”
March 15th, 2004
Many years ago I began a project called the “learn to Knit afghan.” I got about halfway done with it and got bored. I put it away for a long long time. Not long ago I found a rotten box in my closet. I opened this box and there were all of the squares that I had knitted for this afghan. They were all motheaten and mildewy. I looked at them and, while I knew I had to throw these particular squares of motheaten ruin away, I realized that I had an unfinished project that needed to get finished.
So I decided that I would start this project over. I decided to use the yarn that I was going to use for my cape project. Here is the first square:

I will post my progress on the-project-that-never-ends as I go.
